FEB 10, 2024 - 10 am to World Fossil Finder Museum in Hot Springs, 719 Jensen Highway. Cost to enter museum ages 4-12 $5; ages 13-59 $10; 60+ or veterans is $9 (plus tax). If you want to carpool, meet at the US Forest Service Mystic Ranger District parking lot on Rt 16, Rapid City at 8:55 am. Will be leaving 9 am sharp, takes an hour to get to Hot Springs.
Join us for April's field trip, mark your calendar. Jason will be leading a group of rockhounds to the Conata basin on Sat, Apr 13. Meet 9:45 am at the Minneluzahan Senior Center across from the Monument civic center. Pack drinks and a lunch, any digging tools, rock carrying bag, squirt bottle of water to wash your rocks, etc.
Up for an outing? Join the club for a trip to the Chaetetes coral beds, NW of Jewel Cave. Sat May 11, 2024. Debra and Don Bailey will be leading this adventure. Meet at the US Forest Service 1019 N 5th St, Custer (off of 385). Will be leaving the Forest Service at 9:30 am sharp. Bring lunch, water, rock hounding tools, something to carry your rocks in.

August 10 trip will be to teepee canyon led by Julie Lundin.
Sept 14 trip - Kern Fairburn Agate beds past French Creek camp ground. Rock hounds meet at French Creek campground at 9 am.
